Philosophy
Through a literature based curriculum we nurture the preschoolers’ development with emphasis on communication and celebration of life by exploring the wonders of our world and its cultures and traditions. The Secret Garden Preschool has a library of over 1,000 children’s books, used as the cornerstone of our instruction.
We are a play based preschool, offering opportunities for learning through activities and projects related to our monthly curriculum. We celebrate each child as an individual, realizing the unique characters of each child in our care. Every child is allowed to explore, grow, and acquire the skills necessary for optimal cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Our daily emphasis is on the preschool child’s developmental stages and encouragement of age appropriate activities. We celebrate this very special time of life and the special children entrusted in our care. One of our primary goals is to prepare children for kindergarten socially and emotionally to ensure a successful academic future.
