Greeting
Indoor free flow play, painting,manipulatives, literature, and some gross motor activities, imaginative play Opening activity group – “First Circle Time” Teacher planned time based on integrated curriculum. Reading books, singing songs, poetry,or other activity projects.All preschoolers and teachers may be included in the activity group, or they may be in their own pre-assigned classrooms, depending on the day, season or theme. Morning snack Outdoor free play and project activities Hand washing and circle time Lunch Outdoor gross motor activities (weather permitting) Naptime for children who nap Outdoor free play or activities for non nappers Afternoon snack Closing activity – “Last Circle Time” Indoor free flow play, activity projects, manipulatives, literature The Secret Garden is closed |
The purpose of the above schedule is to provide a consistent sequence of activities upon which the children can depend. Strict adherence, however, may be of secondary concern as the day unfolds due to the individual and collective needs of the children
